The Infopark Metro Station proposal explores a new approach to metro station design by bringing together the energy of an urban transit hub with the tranquillity of a lush green setting. Conceived as more than a point of transit, the design envisions the station as an inviting urban destination where movement, community, leisure and nature come together.

The architectural proposal was originally developed as a design for the Kinfra Metro Station and received special appreciation from the jury during the design selection process. Following this recognition, the same architectural proposal was selected for consideration for the Infopark Metro Station, with the station identity and signage adapted to the new location while retaining the core architectural design and design intent.

Located within the dynamic context of Infopark and its surrounding technology-driven urban environment, the proposal responds to the contrast between the intensity of contemporary city life and the site's existing green character. Rather than treating the landscape as a backdrop, the design incorporates it as an integral part of the passenger experience.

The concept introduces an urban oasis within the transit environment. Multi-level landscaped spaces create opportunities for recreation, informal gathering and relaxation, while strategically positioned food and activity zones encourage people to engage with the station beyond their daily commute. These interventions transform otherwise transitional spaces into active social environments.

An urban-industrial architectural language is expressed through exposed concrete textures, contemporary structural elements and clean geometric forms, establishing a visual connection with the surrounding city and technology-oriented context. At the same time, expansive glass surfaces, generous openings and inclined roof forms bring natural light, ventilation and views of the landscape deep into the station.

A strong emphasis on openness and inclusivity shapes the arrival experience. Wide entrances and visually connected spaces create a welcoming environment, while the layered landscape and open planning soften the scale of the infrastructure and establish a closer relationship between architecture and nature.

The proposal ultimately seeks to redefine the metro station as an experience rather than merely a transportation facility—a place where commuters can pause, connect, interact and experience the character of their surroundings. Through the integration of landscape, urban functionality and contemporary architectural expression, the Infopark Metro Station proposal presents an alternative vision for transit architecture: a place where mobility meets nature, and where people can genuinely experience the place as they move through it.
